About this site
The most difficult question I was ever asked in an exam: “Who is Vito Ilacqua?”
It was meant benignly, as a far tamer “tell us something about yourself”, but the challenge of giving an accurate and complete answer stuck with me. A direct answer raises questions that inevitably lead to contradictions. What we call our ‘self’ might not actually exist, I realized over time. Perhaps more usefully, then, I am answering here with a selection of memories, achievements, facts, and thoughts associated with my name that can help you get informed about working or exchanging ideas with me.
